Salmon Craft and A Salmon eBook

Yesterday between recess and lunch we created salmon mosaics. While we were working we told Ms. Lirenman facts that we knew about salmon to be able to create a book.  Here are some of our mosaic salmon with some of our facts in the background.

Today we were able to finish our pages for our class ebook and create our ebook.  We are pretty proud of our book as it's the first one we've made as a class and most of us contributed to it.  Below are screen shots of our pages but if you really want to hear us reading it you'll need to download the book and open it in iBook on an iPad or iPhone.  Here's the link to where the book is being stored for you to download.

But for those who don't have an iPad or iPod but want to see our pages all the same you can check them out here.

We are really happy to have been able to find such great images on the Discovery Education. We also loved that those of us who wanted to draw our own images could too.  Enjoy.

  1. Wow grade ones!!! Your salmon mosaics look FANTASTIC! I also really like all the facts you've posted. It looks like you've really learned LOTS about salmon. I bet you are all salmon experts now! You could probably teach me all about salmon! Do any of you eat salmon? I love eating it. Salmon is a very good fish to eat.

    1. Hi Ms. Jackson! We remember who you are. Fourteen of us like salmon, five of us don't like salmon, and three of us have never tried salmon so we don't know if we like it or not. You are right though, we are real good salmon experts. Next time you read with us you can ask as questions about salmon if you want to. From Division 19
