A Perfect Day at the Beach

Today we traveled by school bus to Crescent Beach to enjoy a SAIL day at the beach.  We couldn't have been luckier with the weather either because it was sunny and warm but there was a nice cool breeze so we never got too hot.  Since we travel from all over the lower mainland to attend SAIL some of us just came with our parents to the beach.   It was such a great day that a bunch of us forgot to eat lunch!  Here are some photos of the day.  As you can see we had a really great day.

Making the Best of a Swimming Field Trip with No Swimming Pool

Yesterday we were scheduled and book to head to Bear Creek park to swim in the outdoor pool.  We walked over for our time slot. Even though the weather wasn't that sunny we were still super excited.  Unfortunately, when we arrived the pool was closed. Something had gone wrong.  With no pool to swim in, we headed over to the big playground to play at. About 20 minutes later the water in the water park next to the playground turned on.  Since we had our swim suits we quickly ran to the water park.  Even though it was a bit cold, and it was a bit raining we still managed to take a day that wasn't going so well and turn it into a day that was a ton of fun.  Being flexible is so important when things don't go as planned.  On this day we were a very flexible group of children.

The best part though is that because the pool messed up our booking, we get to go back to the park later this month.

Gymnastics Equipment

Right now the gymnastics equipment is set up in the gym three days a week.  There are six different stations with many different activities to take part in.  Here are some photos from our gymnastics adventures.

Salvador Dali

Today's guest teacher taught us about Salvador Dali and we were then encouraged to create our own versions of one of his melted clocks.  Here are some photos from our lesson today.
