Learning About Numbers

During the month of September we spent a lot of time working with numbers.  We counted, we created, and we played number games.  One of our favourite games to play was the 100 Board Counting Game. To play the game we took turns rolling a six sided dice.  We then crossed off as many numbers as the dice told us to cross off.  The person whose last roll landed exactly on the number 100 won.

  1. Hello Mrs. Lirenman's class. Your 100 counting game is a great idea for counting and recognising numbers. I will play that game with my childern when we get back from our school holidays. We have just started two weeks of holidays. When we come back it will be term 4 and it is a 9 week term. Happy learning!

Thanks for that post, although we have older students here in New Zealand I think that they would really enjoy playing that game, also with your post I thought that it was really good that you illustrated it by having pictures of your students completing the activity. Good luck with all your posting this year, we will keep watching your work from the other side of the world.
