"Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better" Magda Gerber

Looking Closely
Yesterday we used our focusing frames to look really closely outside our classroom. Here are some photos of us doing just that.

I love the idea of using a frame and placing it on the ground. You have inspired me. I now think we need to take some frames with us when we go on our walk to our pond. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you find in your frames? How did you record your learning? How can you share what you learned with us?
We found leaves, rocks, sticks, trees, dirt, a bucket, a toy, maple leaf, and some grass. The first time we did it we talked about what we saw when we were outside. The second time we did it we took a picture and some of us wrote about what we saw on our blogs. You might want to check those out. If you click the science category you might find them all.
