Yesterday we received a short voice message from someone in our class. Can you guess who it is?

Quad Blogging Has Begun!
Even though our class is not officially set, our Quad Blogging rounds have now begun. Quad Blogging involves connecting four classroom blogs together with a common purpose of visiting and commenting on each others blogs. Each week we focus on one blog in particular and we visit it more than the other blogs. We will be receiving extra visitors at the beginning of October. We will repeat the visiting process for as long as at works for us or until the term ends.
This week we will be visiting The Learning Hive, a class in New Zealand. If you are reading this post please feel free to visit their blog too. Maybe you can even leave them a comment? Ms. Lirenman is certainly hoping that once our class is settled that we will be visiting them too, and leaving them some comments as well.
Looking forward to meeting my new class really soon. Once we meet I will be able to set up the individual blogs. There might even be some slight changes to this blog like.... our Division Number. I don't think we will be Division 16 any more. Stay tuned!

Where is Division 16?
Don't fret, Ms. Lirenman and her class will have this blog up and running soon. Right now Ms. Lirenman doesn't know who will be in her class so she can't get permission from parents to post more information about what we've been learning this week. Hopefully we will soon know who will make up Ms. Lirenma's class. Once she has permission from our parents we will share our learning with you. So please be patient with us. It will be worth the wait.
We hope to see you back here soon.

Saying Good Bye to The 2011-2012 Division 16
Today I received a wonderful voice message from Trista, a student in my 2011-12 Grade One class. It made me smile from ear to ear as I can clearly hear the excitement in her voice as she's about to start grade two. But it made me a little sad too because it is official. Starting Tuesday, Division 16 as we knew it during the 2011-2012 school year is no longer. Everyone is off to new and exciting grade two classes. But don't worry, I will always have a little piece in my heart for each and everyone of you. Please don't forget to visit, or say hello when you see me out on the playground. We had a wonderful year together but it is time for me to meet my newest class.

Getting Ready
When I pack up our classroom in June I never really know what I am going to return to in late August. You see while we are enjoying our summer vacation, our wonderful janitors are busy getting our room all sparkly clean.
Here is what our room looked like this past Friday afternoon.
After spending an hour or so on Friday, then all day today moving furniture around, here is what our classroom looks like now.
What a difference a little bit of hard work makes. But, do you know what? Something is still missing from this room. Can you guess? It is YOU! I can't wait to meet and welcome you to our room. I can't wait to add your personality to this space too.
Looking forward to meeting everyone really, really soon.
Love Ms. Lirenman

What a Wonderful Surprise!
Today Ms. Lirenman received a wonderful surprise. Can you guess what it was?
A special Voice Message from Soeun. It's just a reminder of how wonderful her 2011/12 class was.
Thank you Soeun for such a special message and for your wonderful blog posts that you've been writing on your individual blog this summer. I am so glad you haven't forgotten about school while you're enjoying your summer vacation.
