What would your butterfly look like if you were a hungry caterpillar too?
"Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better" Magda Gerber

The Butterfly Project
During the first week of the Global Read Aloud, besides co-creating books with Mrs. DeGroot's class in Iowa, we also worked with children from Ms. Alvarez's K class in Canada, Ms. Sargent and Ms. Goold's classes from the USA. Each child created a butterfly, added their voice and sent them to Ms. Lirenman so she could create this collaborative movie. The only problem is that when everything was put together, and even with some editing by Ms. Lirenman, the movie is still far too long for us to watch in one sitting. So if you have some time please check out the video we created together as there are many wonderful butterflies to be seen.
