As a side, if you haven't you must check out our individual blogs. We have been working very hard to create blog posts that are meaningful to us and we hope you will enjoy them too. We are becoming real writers and we love sharing our stories.
"Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better" Magda Gerber

Writing
Writing looks very different in our classroom than it does in many other classrooms. When we write we write what we want, where we want, on what we want (well with in reason of course). This week we looked at using a web to help collect ideas before we start writing. Some of us liked the idea that we could use big paper to write on. Others of us really like writing on small paper. Here we are busy working on our writing.
